College of Design Commencement Day Rules and Policies

Clear Bag Policy

Any bag that enters Matthew Knight Arena (MKA) must be clear, including those held by graduating students, faculty, and staff.

Pet Policy

There is a strict No Pets policy in MKA. Any person attempting to enter the arena with a pet that is not a service animal will be turned away.

Zero Tolerance Alcohol Policy

MKA and the University of Oregon have a zero-tolerance alcohol policy. Any alcohol found will be confiscated.
Intoxicated graduates or guests are subject to removal from the ceremony.

Prohibited Items

  • Drugs and Alcohol
  • Balloons
  • Glass (including vases)
  • Wrapped Packages whose contents cannot be searched.

Security

Security will be checking bags upon entry and monitoring for alcohol use and other disruptions.
