Join us for the 2025 commencement ceremony for the College of Design at the Matthew Knight Arena. 

 No tickets are required to attend this event.

Class of '25 Graduation Checklist

2025 grads, make sure you complete all the steps below to receive your degree  
and participate in the commencement ceremony.

Do this as soon as possible.

#1. Apply for your degree.

Applying for your degree is different than opting in to participate in commencement. (See #2 below for more information.) Anyone who graduates during 2025 can participate in this year’s ceremony, but make sure to signify the term you are actually graduating (winter, spring, summer, or fall) in your degree application.

  • Graduate students should apply for their degree using GradWeb [Deadline TBA].
  • Undergraduates must apply for a Spring 2025 degree using DuckWeb [Deadline TBA].

If you miss your application date, please speak to an advisor immediately.

Do these in May.

#2. RSVP for the College of Design Ceremony.

Make sure your name is in our program the way you want it to appear when the file is available for review when this becomes available in May. This is required in addition to #1 above.

#3. Purchase or rent your regalia (cap, gown, tassel, stole, cords). Deadline: TBD

In March, The Duck Store is your one-stop shop for all commencement gear. Undergrads can purchase caps and gowns any time before Commencement, but beware that they may run out of your size if you wait too long. 

PhD tams and gowns are custom-made, so you must order them before the deadline.

#4.  Check in at Matthew Knight Arena west entrance.

Family, friends, and guests enter at north entrance.

Nominate a Student Speaker

Nominations must be submitted by Friday, May 2!

The student speaker serves as the representative for graduating students and celebrates the accomplishments of the graduating class.   
The student speaker presents an inclusive and inspiring message for the future that honors graduates of all College of Design programs.

You may nominate multiple students and self-nominations are appropriate.  
Nominations are accepted from students in the graduating class, faculty members, and program directors or deans.

Join us for the 2025 UO PDX commencement ceremony for the College of Design on June 13. 

Tickets are required to attend this event. More information to come. 

 

Graduation
UO Commencement Ceremony

The main UO ceremony is separate from the College of Design's ceremony and will be held in Autzen Stadium at 9 a.m. PDT on Monday, June 16. You can find more information about UO’s 2025 ceremony on the UO Commencement website.
