Ihab ElzeyadiAssociate Professor Ihab Elzeyadi’s Green Classroom Toolbox was featured on internationally broadcast PRX (Public Radio Exchange) in an Isla Earth Radio Series program recently. In the program, Elzeyadi notes that 40 percent of older classrooms in the United States are in poor environmental condition and compromise health and learning for 14 million students. His Green Classroom Toolbox, which offers 20 retrofit ideas, is geared toward architects and planners who want to retrofit aging schools to be more energy efficient and sustainable. Elzeyadi, director of the High Performance Environments Laboratory at UO, explains his toolbox in this YouTube video.
