First-Year Interest Groups
First-Year Interest Groups (FIGs) connect incoming students with shared interests through a themed learning community built around two linked lecture courses. Students begin their UO experience alongside fellow FIG members, supported by a faculty instructor and a peer mentor. FIGs offer an engaging way to explore academic disciplines, with new topics available each year.
