The Sixth Annual Undergraduate Symposium will take place Friday, May 20, in the Global Scholars Hall on the UO campus.

The year’s symposium features the largest and most diverse cohort of undergraduates to date. The symposium debuted in 2011 with 69 presenters and 40 faculty mentors spanning 20 majors and four colleges, and in its sixth year has grown to 236 presenters and 213 faculty mentors spanning 57 majors and seven colleges. Over the past six years the Symposium has hosted nearly 900 student presenters.
All poster and creative work presenters are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Global Scholars Hall Great Room, Main Hallway, Library Commons, Bean Moore Conference Room, and Mezzanine Level. Students will be present with their posters and creative work installations during this period and prepared to engage in discussion and short presentations with attendees.
Oral presentations will be delivered during two concurrent sessions scheduled from 3:15-5 p.m. and 6-7:30 p.m.
A reception will begin at 5 p.m. in the Global Scholars Hall Great Room and Main Corridor with remarks delivered by Provost Scott Coltrane and Vice Provost Lisa Freinkel at 5:15 p.m.
