Student Advisory Council Member and MFA Student's Latest Exhibition Opens Next Week in Solas Gallery

Colton Rothwell, MFA student and Student Advisory Council Member, recipient of Aperture and Google Pixel’s Creator Lab’s Photo Fund, a Hopper Prize finalist, and a Michael Reimann grant awardee in Photolucida’s annual Critical Mass, has a new exhibition at Solas Gallery opening June 4, 2026. The exhibition will run until the end of the month.

Building a brand on a love for Portland

Marcus Harvey, BS ’12 (digital arts), is a Hillsboro, Oregon native who founded Portland Gear in 2014 after losing his job at a Eugene screen printing shop and moving back home. He said he had no expectation that this passion project would evolve to what it is today. He was just doing what he knew and loved, while creating a community of people who shared his passion for Portland.
