Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber has recommended $26 million in state bond funding for the A&AA capital project. The total construction cost of the project is estimated at $53 million. Being on the Governor’s budget is a milestone achievement for the school’s project.

The Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) recently produced a documentary interview with UO architecture Associate Professor Gerry Gast that reviews the progress of the new UCU campus and its design concepts, which Gast and his students helped bring to fruition. The video was made for Ukraine TV in Lviv, western Ukraine, as well as for UCU.
Five artists associated with the UO School of Architecture and Allied Arts were honored with 2015 Career Opportunity Grants from the Oregon Arts Commission
and The Ford Family Foundation. They include Adjunct Instructor Damien Gilley, alumnus Grant Hottle (MFA ’07), Associate Professor Anya Kivarkis, Assistant Professor Donald Morgan, and Associate Professor Laura Vandenburgh.
Product Design Program students Ally Aschbacher and Matt Melancon have been named to the Pac-12 Conference All-Academic Team, while Cole Watson earned an honorable mention.
Two MFA students from UO have been recognized with Honorable Mention awards in the 2014 International Sculpture Center's Outstanding Achievement Awards.
