HAA Alumna Named First Female Director of the University of Arizona Museum of Art

Congratulations to History of Art and Architecture Alumna Olivia Miller (MA, '09) on her appointment as the first-ever female director of the University of Arizona Museum of Art. Miller joined the museum as Curator of Education in 2012, overseeing the docent and education programs before becoming Curator of Exhibitions in 2014. She also served as interim director of the museum starting in July of 2022 before her appointment to the full-time director position.

Four Landscape Architecture Student Earn ASLA Awards 

The School of Architecture & Environment (SAE) and the Department of Landscape Architecture both have a cause for celebration as four Oregon Design Ducks (ODD or ODDucks) have earned awards courtesy of the Oregon Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).  ASLA award

LaVerne Krause Gallery Hosts "Ghost Forest" Exhibition Until May 4

Sponsored by the Center for the Study of Women in Society as part of its 50th anniversary and the UO’s Environment Initiative, “Ghost Forest" will run from April 24-May 4 in the LaVerne Krauss Gallery in Lawrence Hall. Eugene artist Sarah Grew teams up with sound artist Jon Bellona, a senior instructor at the UO’s School of Music and Dance who teaches audio production, for this latest exhibition about wildfires.
